Wenchang Confucius Temple
Wenchang Confucius Temple is located located in Wenchang City. It was originally built in the Northern Song Dynasty, and relocated to Wenchang during the Ming Dynasty. It is one of the best-preserved ancient architecture sights in all of Hainan, and one of the most unique tourist attractions in Southern China. It has been heralded by the Chinese government as the most significant and important temple in all of Hainan.
The temple features beautiful carvings with flowers, birds and animals depicted right across the sight. The halls beside the rear courtyard, exhibit the works of famous painters and calligraphers.
