A new Bali born after the Famil

Australian agents predict Hainan Island to become the next Bali within 5 years. A large number of agents have returned from the very first Australian famil to Hainan Island, predicting that the newly crowned number one tourist initiative of the Chinese government will become the "new Bali" within the next five years.

Marking the first time Hainan has welcomed Australian agents to the island, agents from Flight Centre, Jet Set, Harvey World Travel and several independent brands were hosted to an official banquet presentation in Hainan's southern resort city of Sanya, welcoming the Australian travel industry to one of the world's most promising travel destinations.

Hainan Tourism Bureau officials attending the banquet included Vice Mayor of Sanya, Li Baiqing, who on the back of China's plans to establish Hainan as the top tourist destination in the country within a decade, announced plans to form a government appointed team to delegate for the increase in tourism funding to support Australian interests in the destination.

"My government and the Hainan Tourism Bureau fully support Formosa Travel & Holidays and in introducing Hainan and Sanya to the Australian travel market," said Mr. Baiqing.

Mr. Baiqing also announced plans to organise a Hainan tourism road show to visit Australia in the near future, hoping to directly promote the islands vast tourist prospects and robust financial backing to the Australian market.

Famil participants also visited some of Hainan's most famous tourist destinations, including the Nanshan Buddhism Cultural Zone and Nanwan Monkey Island, as part of their introduction to the island. Accommodation was provided by the Cactus Resort Sanya, Mangrove Tree Resort Sanya and the Horizon Resort Sanya.
