China to host Asian women's boxing tournament
The Asian Cup women's boxing tournament will take place on May 7-8 in Haikou, capital city of the southern Chinese island province of Hainan, organizers said on Monday.
A total of 40 female boxers from 11 countries including India, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Japan and China will be contesting in 10 categories ranging from 48kg to +81kg at the event.
The winner and runner-up of each class will pocket prize money of US$ 3,000 and US$ 1,000 respectively.
