Sayna - an Overview
Sanya is China's most southern city, known to the Chinese as "the World's end", its beautiful scenery and bustling atmosphere also make it one of China's most exciting cities. Gemma Deavin recently travelled to Sanya to see just what lies at the "edge of the world".
Market life
Sanya, the baby sister of its 15 and 17 million strong Beijing and Shanghai siblings across the South China Sea, it is more of a 'town' than a city.
Hainan Legends
One is set atop a mountain, the other a hill. Both, centre on love. When it comes to legends, Hainan is a romantic island.
Wuzhizhou Island
White sand beaches, blue waters and palm trees don't immediately come to mind when you think of China.
Seafood and a fishing village
Hainan may be China's southern most province, but it is not untouched by the modern growth of the country.
On the road
Hainan's population may be miniscule compared to other parts of China, but life on the streets is no less active.
